Kefalos is a beautiful town built on a hill in the western part of the island is 40 kilometers far from the town of Kos. There was in antiquity the ancient capital of Kos and today is inhabited by about 2,500 residents.

The village is built on a hill with houses cheek by jowl with one another, typical island urban element, thus creating alleys causing the visitor a tour of the history and current life. One of the more interesting you can see here is the traditional home, a small folk museum with full representation of rural life of old. Beside the traditional houses located the mill, which completes the picture of rural life there. Finally, the image of th old city fill the ruins of the old castle, adjacent to the main settlement.
